BobOki
Is your motherboard a sis chipset? If it is, I have not gotten 10.4.8 to install, best I can do is 10.4.7, then update to the next.

BobOki
I actually got mine working on the older one without a problem. If you have a intel chipset I would imagine that everything should work well. You ARE doing a custom install when you get the options correct? When loading from the dvd to install at some point there will be a button that says CUSTOM. Click that and make sure you select the correct features. They are pretty self explanitory, (sse2 or sse3 depending, ati if you have it, 10.4.7 combo update for intel or amd... just selectthe correct options.) MOST people use the sigmatel audio one (ac97) and then you have to do a audio correction.. no worries on that. IF you have done all that correctly already, then try banging f8 right when you try to start the system. That will bring up a boot option menu. Try typing these in: platform=x86pc -f -v once typed, hit enter and the system should load up in verbose mode (and hopefully check the drive). If it locks or hangs, let us know what its hanging on. Should be pretty easy. I'll keep a watch on the thread and help where I can. I am by no means a expert on this scene, YET, but I can translate to english for you what you need to do. Enjoy and good luck!
