kalessin
Can anyone help? Is this an atheros? It is an intel? I am looking for the kext that will work with this wifi chip. Qualcomm Atheros have been a unified company for some years now... QCNFA335 is based on AR9565 chip and therefore carries id 168c:0036. Poorly supported in older OS X/macOS versions and only with a specifically written Atheros40 kext (see Chunnann's old work on the matter); afaik, doesn't work in recent macOS versions such as Mojave and Catalina. You can Google for this of course or search the Hackintosh forums of you wish. My advise: get rid of it and replace it by a fully supported Broadcom card. https://osxlatitude.com/forums/topic/11138-inventory-of-supportedunsupported-wireless-cards-2-sierra-catalina/ https://osxlatitude.com/forums/topic/12972-macos-compatible-m2-cards/ Thank you so much for your help! I appreciate it. However it was not labelled if it was atheros or not. I will take your advice on the Broadcom card but I really need to upgrade this laptop I have so - until then, AR9565 kext will have to work. Again THANK YOU!!!
