budest
Hey guys, as title suggests I'm having a few probs. A very, very long story short. I am not a Hackintosh newbie and have been around the scene since 2014 actively. This one has me stuck. I ran into probs on my Catalina Hack and did a Time Machine reinstall. Upon completion it killed my SSD. I doubt the reinstall actually killed it but more so age. I am trying to install Cata on a new SSD and cannot get myself a bootable USB. I've tried uni**beast and that failed many times (though never managed to get that working anyway) so went back to Clover. Furthest I can get is the 'Install Catalina from USB' Clover Boot menu, after that it hangs on the Apple Logo. Mobo = Asus P8z77V-PRO CPU = i3570k 16GB RAM GPU = Radeon RX570 8GB Using a Sandisk 32GB USB Kexts: WhateverGreen.kext.zip Lilu.kext.zip FakeSMC.kext.zip AppleIntelE1000e.kext.zip I have ordered the components to build a new i7 rig as this incident has been the straw that broke the camel's back for me. But I want to get the system up and running to give to my mum. I have always had issues with the P8z77v board. When it goes wrong, it's a long hard struggle to get working again. Anyone care to help me get this USB drive booting? Or maybe you haven't tried that yet... Thanks for the response. Yes I have tried it and will post a screenshot shortly when back at the computer. If successful, you may have to change to a Mac Model to suit your needs also inject data to the config.plist to activate iMessage/F-Time, App Store, iCloud etc.etc. There is also a possibility the kext for ethernet may have to be changed for connection. Good luck. EFI.zip Thanks for that mate. I'm on Macbook atm and will back on computer later when home. I'll give your idea a try and let you know. PS: I have never had an issue creating previous Clover install USBs just this one for Cata. I've even tried using different pen drives to see if that would help but nope. I'll try your efi folder first. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/343751-cannot-create-working-bootable-usb/#findComment-2721618 Share on other sites

Same issues. Using the efi folder did no good. budest
Opted (for the first time ever) to go down the Vanilla route and bar a few kext changes it's all working well bar Apple TV+ app, but that didn't work previously either. Thanks for the input! Did any of you get the Apple TV app working? I've tried changing SMBIOS but no joy.
