Dear people,

This little guide should help those who want to use their Aorus z390 WIFI pro MB with an intel iGPU ( in my case the UHD 630 that comes with the i5 9600k CPU ) over HDMI.

1. Start with the EFI from the excellent AudioGod install guide for the Aorus Pro / Master:

2. Flash the bios to version f12c and load the MSR unlock profile ( under boot -> load profile ). See guide above. Make sure internal GPU is enabled in bios! The kexts and drivers can stay as they are, you don't need other ones.

3. Make sure your config.plist has the following settings ( see attachment ) :

- DSDT: <key>Name</key> <string>DSDT.aml</string> ( for the custom dsdt, see point 5 ).

- ACPI: GFX0 to IGPU

- BOOT: igfxonln=1 AND -wegnoegpu ( without this your hdmi signal might not come back after wake )

- DEVICES->PROPERTIES:

  - Make sure you enter the correct framebuffer settings for you internal GPU.

  - To prevent crashing / freezing after wake when using a monitor which does not have speakers, disable automatic audio injection ( set to NO ) and enter audio device properties manually:

    - No-hda-gfx / AAAAAAAA AA / DATA ( this will disable audio output over hdmi )

    - alc-layout-id / 7 / NUMBER ( manual audio device definition )

- SMBIOS:

  - Generate you own System serial number and SMuuid. Check coverage.

  - Product Model: Macmini8,1

  - Board-ID : Mac-AA95B1DDAB278B95 ( Works in my case. If this setting is wrong you might not get hdmi output )

4. Before deleting the USBInjectAll.kext, make your own USB mapping with hackintool ( open USB, plug usb device into all ports, delete HS ports which don't stay green, delete SS ports which have no corresponding green HS port number, export mapping to kext / dsdt). You can use this mapping if the one from the guide does not give you proper USB. This should give you USB, but there still might be problems with sleep / wake. In that case see the next point for the recommended mapping option:

5. If sleep / wake does not work;

- dump dsdt to clover/ACPI/origin ( F4 at clover boot menu ).

- Run the RunMe.app : http://olarila.com/files/Utils/RunMe.app.zip

- go to https://www.olarila.com/ provide MaLdOn with output of RunMe and ask him to make a custom dsdt for you. Don't forget to donate!

6. Patch EDID if you experience green screen flashes after wake: https://spin.atomicobject.com/2018/08/24/macbook-pro-external-monitor-display-problem/

Happy hackintosching!
