Hello everyone! I'm trying to connect a second screen via HDMI to my new laptop (Intel Core i7 97 50H, nVidia GeForce GTX 1650 (Intel UHD 630 in use), 16 GB RAM, OpenCore 0.5.7).

But when I connect the HDMI cable, the laptop screen goes blank for a few seconds, then it lights up, but the second monitor is still turned off. Could you help me?

Using IORegistryExplorer, observe your iGPU/UHD 630 output ports when you hook your HDMI display to your Hack. If you do not see anything, this could mean that the HDMI output is actually wired to the Turing dGPU, in which case you're most likely screwed. If you see some changes under the output ports, you may simply need to patch your corresponding CFL framebuffer port for HDMI output.

Thank you for your response! I have already checked in Windows: my external and internal monitors are connected to iGPU. Could you explain to me, how exactly I should check in IORegistryExplorer and pacth? With WEG? I'm a beginner in framebuffer patching...

Here is what happens when I connect/disconnect HDMI (adds "display0"):

Obviously, it's not the FB@0 with a display0 & AppleBacklightDisplay that you need to watch because that's your built-in LCD... Nothing else is going to be listed there! You need to observe your other framebuffer ports: FB@1, FB@2, etc. If an external display gets connected and detected, it'll be listed a AppleDisplay under another display0.

Does it mean, that I can't connect external display at all?

If you do not see anything appear under the other FB ports, then it's highly likely that HDMI is wired to the dGPU as suggested before.

Hmmm, bad news... Should I buy USB-C to HDMI cable to connect? Should it hellp me?

Possibly, I could not possibly guarantee it. You should try and pop the question of output ports individual connectivity to Asus support if there is such a thing.

Thank you for your help. But sceen is blinking when I connect the cable! It's strange...
