Gigabyte H370M DS3H SPDIF not found after update to 10.14.6

Hi All,

before the update my SPDIF out was working fine.
after the update the digital out is missing from the sound menu.
even while the SPDIF gives out the light signal, there is no sound.
checked the amp, working fine.

tried voodoohda and applealc, both up to date versions.
with voodoohda i don't see the digital out, with applealc i can see and select the digital out, but i get no sound.

any suggestions?
