arrmo
Hi, I have an old (OK, quite old ... LOL) Mac that I want to "replace" with a VirtualBox VM on my much newer and faster machine. It's working well, no issues at all (and I like OpenCore!), but I'm struggling to get some of the configuration items set to match my old machine - two in particular, system-id and SmUUID. It seems like at least SmUUID should be set in VirtualBox, but it's not "sticking" ... I think perhaps OpenCore is overwriting it. To that end, are there specfic OpenCore variables I need to set to get these values in place? Or could it be that my old HW parameters can't be carried forward to my new VM? Thanks! arrmo
OK, a bit more on this - found that using IORegistryExplorer, and looking at the IODeviceTree ... it seems that the needed entries are being stored directly under the root (as "options"), and not inside efi? I admit, not sure if it's VirtualBox or OpenCore putting them there ... :-(. Thanks!
