Hello, I'm trying to use the Wireless WAN slot (M.2 B key slot) for the wifi/bluetooth/ Airport card Broadcom BCM94360NG M.2 A/E key. Do you know any adapter for this? Thank you.

(My problem is the intel 9560 wireless card is soldered onboard. Yet they even didn't tell us we have a solided wireless LAN card in the specs website for a thinkpad workstation P53s)

Here are the pictures of:

  • The Wireless WAN slot (M.2 B key slot): size: 2 x 2 x 0.2 inches

This slot is for Fibocom L850-GL LTE-A CAT9 wireless WAN card

  • The wifi/bluetooth/ Airport card Broadcom BCM94360NG M.2 A/E key: size: 22 mm x 30 mm x 2.4 mm

Afaik, there's no such thing. And it would interfere with the screw position. You need to find a Key-B card. The trouble is that B slots usually are for SSDs and WWAN modules whilst most wireless cards are Key-E or Key-A/E, very seldomly Key-B. Add to that the complexity of a macOS compatible model!

On top of that, there is always the risk that, the slot being intended for a WWAN module, it only supports USB. That's typically what I've encountered with B slots of a few recent Dell Latitude laptops; they were labelled "WWAN" and would not support a Key-B SSD, i.e. clearly no PCIe capability...

Thank you for the information. I saw some M key to A/E key adapters, but non of B key to A/E key so far. Do you know how to check whether or not the WWAN has PCIe capacity? I think my laptop support PCIe, since the WWAN slots in older thinkpad models support PCIe.

Do you know another solution for this wifi/bluetooth/handoff card or the key B M.2 card? Here is my mainboard:

It's a pity for my thinkpad P53s, since now everything are working properly including bluetooth (intel 9560), but no handoff and Apple continuity if there is no way for the card. Also, the mainboard is still bad designed, there are still space but they want to save some cm2 for a soldered card +_+.
