Hey Guys,

For the most part new here.  I have a HP Probook 4540S set up for dual boot windows 10 and Sierra.  While I was trying to hackintosh another laptop trying to utilize my HP I overwrote the config.plist file from my HP's efi partition.  Now regardless of what I try trying to follow the old tutorials I used to get it set up i the first place, i am unable to boot into sierra.  When clover comes up i get my windows 10 option and sierra option but when i click on sierra i see the apple logo and when this setup was working there would be a loading bar at the bottom.  But now that loading bar is at the bottom right and is a bit skewed and does give progression but never completes/loads into sierra.  So this is where i need guidance I am trying to rebuild the config file without having to try to reinstall.  I am not sure what information you guys would need but I will try to attach what i can.  Please let me know what you may need and I do appreciate any help that could be provided. Also i do know the file is supposed to be config.plist but i just grabbed the original that i recalled using.  Let me know if . you guys need anything else.

Boot in verbose mode to hopefully see where things hang.

Hey, Sorry for delay had to get home first to try it.  So when i put in in verbos i get a quick message and then i get a weird fuzzy type screen happens every time.  I managed to capture the message and it indicates "AptioMemoryFix(R9): Starting \System\Library\CoreServices\boot.efi" i get a quick line or dashes at the bottom then the screen goes all fuzzy.

Try a different memory fix module (or none at all).

I also noticed that your laptop is dual GPU and is fitted with an AMD Radeon HD 7650M dGPU:

  • Card name: AMD Radeon HD 7650M
  • Device Key: Enum\PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_6841&SUBSYS_17F4103C&REV_00

Did you arrange to disable that?

Hey I will try to remove it when i get home.  Also the radeon should be disabled from when i initially did this a couple years ago but i will double check.  Also off the top of yourt head just in case could you recommend another memory module if removing the aptio doesn't work?  Also more than likely won't talk to you guys until the new year so if so Happy New Year!

alright so i tried a bunch of stuff and still nothing.  Removed Aptiomemoryfix and it looked for osxaptiofixdrv3 file and when i removed that it just gave me a line in Verbose.  Tried adding the apfsdriverloader and the osxaptiofix2drv-free2000 as well.  no luck then i went over the initial guide i used a while ago and realized i didn't have hybrid csm for my setup i did uefi without csm.  So set it like the guide and readded the aptiomem and the osxaptfix and i got slightly diff same error and i tried removing the aptiomem fix and i got more info on screen but still unable to get it to boot into sierra.  l
