tgo111789
Hi, I recently installed OS X on my AMD machine, it runs myzars, OS X and my system is a AMD 3200, A8N SLI-Deluxe everything worked besides the LAN, but i popped in a realtek lan card. The problem I am having is that it picks up my video card as a genaric one, with 256mb of ram. I use a Asus x1600 PCI-X with 512MB of memory, as pictured here http://www.mysimon.com/Asus_Extreme_ATI_Ra...8-31688182.html I want to change my resolution however since it did not pick up my video card correctly it only lets me keep it at 1024x768, I want to adjust it to 1280x1024, how can I do this? Also what do I need to patch/update and how would I do it. Im not Mac expert, but I do know about hardware, and PCs, and such. If needed here my complete specs AMD 3200 64bit 939 A8N SLI Deluxe Asus Extreme ATI Radeon X1600 Pro (512MB, PCI-X) 1 GB Memory 2 Hard Drives, Mac 80GB ATA, Windows 160GB SATA NEC DVD R/W/RW DL 1.44 MB Floppy Drive 12 in 1 Card Reader OS X 10.
The Baron
You could give this installer a try http://www.installers.dl.am/ You'll need the 3.2 unless you're on the new 8.8.1 kernel HTH
Rammjet
Follow the Boris link in my signature. Posting #1 gives a manual method to make the changes. Posting #3 takes you to an installer (use the older one). Both accomplish the changes using a slightly different method. If one doesn't work, try the other. The installer gives you an uninstaller script - be sure to read the info panels in the installer.
