hello guys, im a complete noobie and i hope that someone may be able to help :hysterical:

i finished installing 10.4.8 using USB keyboard and mouse. On reboot, OSX cannot detect my keyboard and asks me to plug it in.

i used verbose mode to see whats happening and i noticed that OSX hasnt been able to load the USB drivers from memory, namely (if i remember correctly) the EFCI and UFCI.

Any help or redirection to a certain topic regarding this problem is much appreciated. I've searched the forums and havent found any solution.

many thanks again brothers and sisters in OSX86! :D

hello guys, finally after hours of tweaking my pc i found a solution.

turns out I have to turn off the onboard usb controller from my BIOS and just use ps2 all throughout the installation, else OSX wouldnt install its own USB drivers.

not so sure if it wont install its own drivers since it has detected a local driver from the mobo, though in verbose I got this error when i use the usb keyboard and mouse {usb drivers didnt load from memory}.

BTW, my specs :)

P4 2.8ghz prescott 478 (detected in OSX as 4.2ghz)

MSI P4MAM-v microATX with VIAP4266A/ VT3235

ATI 9200

1GB ram

Lite-on DVD combo

Managed to boot it up with no errors.

Audio- crackling

Video- stuck with one resolution 1024

DVD- not working

but overall is still great, the sense of fulfillment even half way through is very amazing...
