lordlex
Download and install OSX from JaS 10.4.8 DVD then search here on the forum is a topic on how to autoupdate to latest semthex kernel... is a shell script to run. Or you can download the kernel here http://semthex.freeflux.net/download/ But first get JaS 10.4.8 and install... lordlex
after the bios prompt for del key, when the os boot (on some mobo after the bip) and a prompt is show on left up corner press F8. at the prompt type -v then press enter. paste here the last lines of the output. BTW, when you installed the osx did you select osx10.4.8 update & the semthex kernel on dvd? If you not, you can run installer again and update the instalation. If no kernel selected you can boot fron the dvd, after the installer is loaded you can find the Terminal application on Utils menu. Run it, then you can copy the kernel to your HDD: cp /mach_kernel /Volumes/<YOUR OSX VOLUME NAME>/mach_kernel change <YOUR OSX VOLUME NAME> with your volume name of the osx partion.
