addoil Posted November 5, 2019 Share Posted November 5, 2019 Hi folks, My Catalina build works almost perfectly, except that: 1. I cannot set default booting disk for my dual booting system 2. The system occasionally kernel panic For setting default disk, I have chosen default system as Catalina in system preference. But OpenCore gives the following message: "04:125 02:783 OCB: Failed to fix the default boot Device Path" For the kernel panic, it seems to be related to USB. I have patched USB ports to under 15 through kext. I am using FENVI T-919 (BCM94360CD) WIFI/Bluetooth, the bluetooth is connected to internal USB 3.0 port through an adapter cable ( my motherboard has no USB 2.0 port). My system is: ASUS WS C422 Sage/10G, BIOS 1202 | Xeon W-2140b | 32Gb (2x16GB) Crucial ECC registered | VEGA Frontier Edition | Samsung 970 Evo 1TB (MacOS) | Inland Premium 1TB (Windows) | Opencore 0.5.2 | Catalina | Windows 10 The first panic log: panic(cpu 2 caller 0xffffff8002462e0a): Kernel trap at 0xffffff7f834d7e01, type 14=page fault, registers: CR0: 0x000000008001003b, CR2: 0x0000000000000004, CR3: 0x000000001b832000, CR4: 0x00000000003626e0 RAX: 0x0000000000000000, RBX: 0xffffff806316fa68, RCX: 0x0000000000ec00c7, RDX: 0x0000000000060000 RSP: 0xffffffa3dfc9be70, RBP: 0xffffffa3dfc9bea0, RSI: 0x0000000000000000, RDI: 0xffffff8002e51fd8 R8: 0x00000000ffffffff, R9: 0x0000000000000002, R10: 0x000000000000005d, R11: 0x0000000000000002 R12: 0xffffff806316f9e0, R13: 0x0000000000000032, R14: 0x0000000002bde701, R15: 0x0000000000000000 RFL: 0x0000000000010282, RIP: 0xffffff7f834d7e01, CS: 0x0000000000000008, SS: 0x0000000000000010 Fault CR2: 0x0000000000000004, Error code: 0x0000000000000000, Fault CPU: 0x2, PL: 0, VF: 1 Backtrace (CPU 2), Frame : Return Address 0xffffffa3dfc9b8d0 : 0xffffff8002339a3b mach_kernel : _handle_debugger_trap + 0x47b 0xffffffa3dfc9b920 : 0xffffff8002470fe5 mach_kernel : _kdp_i386_trap + 0x155 0xffffffa3dfc9b960 : 0xffffff8002462a5e mach_kernel : _kernel_trap + 0x4ee 0xffffffa3dfc9b9b0 : 0xffffff80022e0a40 mach_kernel : _return_from_trap + 0xe0 0xffffffa3dfc9b9d0 : 0xffffff8002339127 mach_kernel : _DebuggerTrapWithState + 0x17 0xffffffa3dfc9bad0 : 0xffffff800233950b mach_kernel : _panic_trap_to_debugger + 0x21b 0xffffffa3dfc9bb20 : 0xffffff8002ad17f9 mach_kernel : _panic + 0x61 0xffffffa3dfc9bb90 : 0xffffff8002462e0a mach_kernel : _sync_iss_to_iks + 0x2aa 0xffffffa3dfc9bd10 : 0xffffff8002462b08 mach_kernel : _kernel_trap + 0x598 0xffffffa3dfc9bd60 : 0xffffff80022e0a40 mach_kernel : _return_from_trap + 0xe0 0xffffffa3dfc9bd80 : 0xffffff7f834d7e01 com.apple.iokit.IOUSBHostFamily : __ZN15IOUSBHostDevice9terminateEj + 0xa9 0xffffffa3dfc9bea0 : 0xffffff7f834c4350 com.apple.iokit.IOUSBHostFamily : __ZN16AppleUSBHostPort26terminateServiceThreadCallEP9IOServiceP11thread_call + 0x18 0xffffffa3dfc9bec0 : 0xffffff800237b625 mach_kernel : _thread_call_delayed_timer + 0xea5 0xffffffa3dfc9bf40 : 0xffffff800237b151 mach_kernel : _thread_call_delayed_timer + 0x9d1 0xffffffa3dfc9bfa0 : 0xffffff80022e013e mach_kernel : _call_continuation + 0x2e Kernel Extensions in backtrace: com.apple.iokit.IOUSBHostFamily(1.2)[5E8D1616-2C4B-3E81-B199-59D3531E0759]@0xffffff7f8349f000->0xffffff7f83597fff dependency: com.apple.driver.AppleBusPowerController(1.0)[5F8013C3-D135-3795-8C05-F5DDA387ADC4]@0xffffff7f83485000 dependency: com.apple.driver.usb.AppleUSBCommon(1.0)[98454AB6-B806-330F-98C6-FEA7F44D22BA]@0xffffff7f8348d000 dependency: com.apple.driver.AppleUSBHostMergeProperties(1.2)[A7569701-C592-31CF-8740-439114078F9F]@0xffffff7f8349b000 BSD process name corresponding to current thread: kernel_task Boot args: agdpmod=pikera debug=0x100 keepsyms=1 Mac OS version: 19B88 Kernel version: Darwin Kernel Version 19.0.0: Thu Oct 17 16:17:15 PDT 2019; root:xnu-6153.41.3~29/RELEASE_X86_64 Kernel UUID: 7503CD47-851F-321E-8747-50DB4299165F Kernel slide: 0x0000000002000000 Kernel text base: 0xffffff8002200000 __HIB text base: 0xffffff8002100000 System model name: iMacPro1,1 (Mac-7BA5B2D9E42DDD94) System shutdown begun: NO Panic diags file available: YES (0x0) System uptime in nanoseconds: 290045086238 The second panic happens when I am using AirPods to make phone call: panic(cpu 0 caller 0xffffff800af949f5): "Zone cache element was used after free!
