atoffolo
I apologise for bothering you guys on this topic, and I realise Chris put the table generator out there for people that know what they are doing. I know many things but not this far unfortunately and I'm wondering if you can help me out and walk me through the process. I already downloaded your table and Clover Configurator. I'm on a iMacPro with OS 10.15.4. I have an eGPU Razer Core X with a XFX AMD Radeon™ RX 5700 XT 8GB GDDR6 THICC III Ultra. I'm trying to get a little better performance since it is not much different then the built in video card (an Radeon Pro Vega 64 16 GB) score 1700 vr 1400... I'm coming your screenshot of Clover and entering the values under the device section... but after that I'm not sure what to do... I imagine saving the .plist and substituting the original one in some folder location... but it is just a guess... Let me know if you can help... I would really appreciate it... I'm using all this for work... Twinmotion renders... I'm an interior architect. mrexot
I have a problem with my "SAPPHIRE Radeon NITRO+ RX 5700 XT 8G OC Special Edition" and PowerPlay Table generator. I'm new with hackintosh but learning fast. Wanted only to disable zero RPM and set fanPWMmin lower then 26 (that is default for my card, and its too high). But I get black screen while booting (few seconds after Apple logo appears). This is my configuration (default values extracted with gpuz/morepowertool at Win10): Using OpenClover 0.5.6, configurating my config.plist with OpenCore Configurator I found my device path with gfxutil, hope its correct. OpenCore Configurator -> DeviceProperties -> Devices: PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x3,0x1)/Pci(0x0,0x0)/Pci(0x0,0x0)/Pci(0x0,0x0) -> Key: PP_PhmSoftPowerPlayTable -> Value: (from excel) -> Type: DATA Can you help me / tell me what I'm doing wrong please? ted973
Fill the values from my XFX 5700XT org vbios (dumped by MorePowerTool), FanStartTemp seems not work. Auto shutdown once in macOS then I reboot to Windows, the card temp is over 65℃. But if use LuxMark to benchmark FanStartTemp works, very strange... Also the ZeroRPMControl from MorePowerTool is not boolean value(my card is 3500 seems like RPM) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/340909-tool-amd-radeon-rx-5700-xt-powerplay-table-generator/page/2/#findComment-2721313 Share on other sites

CMMChris
Probably a new revision of the PPT. It shouldn't matter tho. CMMChris
And I told you that it likely is a different PowerPlay Table Revision which likely doesn't matter since the revision is indicated in the header of the PowerPlay Table. ZDV
Hello Chris, you did an amazing job and I admire this as I am a casual hackintosh builder (first time ever). I made a build with a DB4 streamcom passive cooling system that requires Graphic card to be in small ITX format. I started to RX580 card but I would like to switch to RX5700 XT. The thing is there is only powercolor that makes a card with this format and it had bad reviews about cooling. So, undervolting is mandatory as a matter of fact. I am thinking also to the 5600 XT from the same brand. Does the settings and table you provide could work on this gpu model ? (I suppose no) Each brand putting is own chipset could the powercolor RX 5700 XT itx could need specific settings, or does your table is making ONLY the Gpu reacting differently ? Sorry for all these questions but before buying one of these cards I prefer to ask question instead of saying here "it does not work" afterwards. A big thank you.
