JaS 10.4.8 Install ok, but not load up?

Hi all,

 

Wondering if someone can shine some light on a difficulty I am having.

 

I have obtained 'JaS.10.4.8.Intel.SSE3.Only.Install.DVD.iso' and burnt it to DVD and have got it loading up and installing on:

 

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-8I945GZME-RH

Chip: Intel Core 2 duo 2.13 Ghz

Ram: 1Gb

HDD: SATA2 Samsung 200Gb

I tick the 'SSE3' addon when installing.

 

... but once installation is complete, it prompts to restart, but just has the spinning apple loader and will not restart. So if i restart the computer with the restart button it loads text information on screen, but will not load up into OSX. It has a flashing cursor on screen after all the text.

 

On the page mentioned above it says something about 'with semthex kernel' what does this mean??

Sorry for my ignorance, but i am lost. I hope someone can help this dummy, me, out.

I wish someone would help you with this, I think this is the most common problem for OSX86 newbies like myself and i guess you too

 

I've tried to do my own research and read on this forums everyday for a solution to that same problem. Mind you, we have different hardware and chipset but we have the same exact problem.

 

I've spent hours trying to figure out a solution to this. Anyone out there who is willing to help us, I'm sure it will make our day, right Viking?
