Cool Widget Failures

Okay, so my OSx86 version has been up and running as my primary OS for some time now. Main problems are to do with QE and CI not working on my GMA 900 915 intel without the external monitor plugged in, but our man Maxxuss is working on that right now.

 

This post is to complain about the coolest widgets failing. I've got the Vf1 widget on my system, which for those of you that don't know already, is an amazingly cool widget that let's you stream live TV to your dashboard! unfortunately, even though I have realplayer AND windows media player installed on my system, the widget cannot detect anything but Quicktime streams.

 

While it's great playing Quicktime streams and knowing that I'm watching live TV (did i say cool enough times yet?), the vast majority of channels VF1 provides are in either Real format or Windows Media Player.

 

Clicking on WMP channels results in a blue box with a question mark inside of it (which is also what you get if you try and run the itunes Artwork widget). And trying to get Real channels to work presents a dismal blank black screen with no stream (but fortunatley also no blue box)

 

Any solutions to these problems guys? Maybe there is somewhere we need to allow widgets access to apps that they're not getting access to? No clue here, just throwing stuff out there.
