Callisto resolutions

Hi Guys and Dllz,

I have setup my Mac OS X 10.4.6 and it is running quite happly, supporting all the hardware I use and with Callisto and a patched ATI.kext I got my graphics just fine *except* for the resolution of my desktop. I use a 19" CRT and I am used to work at 1152x864@85Hz since years. Callisto gives me 1024x768 or 1280x1024 and 1600x1200. The first is just to big and gives me less space then I like to have, the second is just wrong by all means (layout on the screen, aspect ration, ...) and the last gives unusable small letters aso.

Does anyone have an idea how I get Callisto to give me my wish-resolution? I used DisplayX and other tools to no successful result, and I added the 1152 enrty to the Mac OS X configuration files at all places where I thought it could be helpful (I just don't remember wich file it was, it's the one containing desktop resolution aso).

I use an ATI Radeon 9550 with 128 MB RAM on an AGP bus (yea I know it cheap;)

Thx in advance,

Alex.

Hallo All,

I got it working. I used the koverg scripts found under the drivers topic to reinstall callisto 5 drivers, which for some dark reason I don't understand gave me my beloved 1152x864 resolution at 85 Hz back. Although the Radeon patches from the koverg patch didn't work I handpatched the 10.4.5 ATI 9700 kext and I now have a fully working system.

Thx,

Alex
