Tools: VMWare 12.5.9 Workstation Pro hosted on Windows 10 1903 12 GB RAM. i7-870 (yes, first generation i7), Dell XPS-8100 OS on SSD, VM is on spinning disk)

I have several older Mac OS X (think 10.6.x) VMs installed, and when I try to start them, I get this error.

While I do have Server images on my VM drive, those are not the ones in question. These are all normal OS X. The VMWare has been patched to allow OS X, though it only goes back to 10.7 which is the selection I am using. The behavior is the same in Workstation Player.

Thoughts?

Edit: Obviously, these are older VMs, but when last used, were just fine. They have been used many times in the past.

For 10.6 and older, separate macOS Unlock tool is used, there is a link to it here in these forums.

The other tool only unlocks 10.7+ OS as you mentioned. :)

Interesting- I didn't know that! I'll try the 10.7 VMs and see how that goes. My main mission is to make sure nothing useful is left on these dinosaurs (emails, technical documents and such) before we remove them.
