trifle
I have a standard iMac 24" [6,1; A1200; MA456LL] with maximum memory 2.16 GHz core 2 duo [T7300]; 4 GB RAM [PC2-5300 DDR2]; SMC version is 1.10f3; Nvidia GeForce 7300 GT [rom 3022]; running OS X 10.6.8 What steps can be taken to upgrade this to install OSX 10.9 or later? I don't have anything worth saving, so a fresh install is OK. Can a Clover EFI boot be configured to make this system look like a more recent model during and after install? The base shows Copyright 2007. And the hard drive is dated 23-Jan-2007. I prefer a software solution for this all-in-one computer, however, could this be an iMac 7,1, if the ROM and/or CPU were upgraded? Guest ricoc90
Well, upgrading the CPU makes no sense in this case because the problem is your 32BIT EFI. Take a look at this thread
