dotpage
Hi list, this is my trouble: - I used all the 3 methods to write the x86_flat.img (Carbon Copy on OS X, WINHEX on windows and DD on windos as well) - All the 3 methods successfully wrote the image, at leas there was no error report and I could actually mount the HD on a FW external enclosure to my powerbook. - none of the times, I could boot, all I get is an "please insert a bootable media" or something like that. I tried in 2 machines, a P4 3.06B on a i865PERL motherboard and a Celeron 2.8 on another Intel board, always getting the same error, on both machine, after each method of mounting the imagen on a blank 20GB HD. Now, I downloaded the .img file from the same place as everybody, I believe, and when I discompact the file, there is a lot of extra files along with the .img that I don't see anywhere a use to it, but I might be mnissing somethng.. little help please? Thank you. eduardo Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/339-wont-boot/ Share on other sites

These files are VMWare Configuration Files. Just go to Vmware, choose Open an Existing VM and add the Config. File. Its a préprepared VM.
