Richard Stanton
Hi, I have an external USB drive, which is formatted as HFS. I have a copy of high sierra running in Vmware Workstation Player 12. If I connect the USB Hard drive to the PC, then use the VMware menu's to connect it to the virtual machine, I don't see the partitions. If I look in system report, I can see the device connected to 'USB3.0 bus', but it's not got any volumes on it, and disk utility doesn't see it at all. The disk itself is fine, because I can use HFS Explorer in windows to load the filesystem fine. The 'USB' system in my OSX image is working fine, becuase if I connect a USB key to it, it appears fine. Any ideas why I can't see the volumes on the external hard drive? Thanks! JJTagy
Try configuring the port as USB 2.0 instead of 3.
