lordlex
Hi I have an ASUS P5GV-MX, Celeron D 336, 512 mb ram, 40Gb hdd for OSX. I run OSX 10.4.5. Network, audio (no in & mic), video works verry well on that! First I try;d to install the miko (i think) combo update to 10.4.8. Result - if i press command+k and the "Connect to server" appears, I type smb://XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX and then press "Enter"... nothing happends, so i CAN'T connect to my windows computer... I downloaded the 10.4.7 DVD. Installed. Same problem with command+k... Sound & video... don;t remember because command+k was first i was interested in... I downloaded 10.4.8 JaS Intel only DVD. Installed with USB fix, kernel mifki, GMA900, loginwindow, azalia audio... The problems: no usb, no mouse & keyboard (both USB)... and maybe more but when you don;t have keyboard and mouse you can;t test. I pressed the Power button of my PC. The system entered Sleep mode. Pressed again, the system returned to running mode. So sleep is only thing i know to work ) I reinstalled but with no USB fix, no kernel selected, no azalia, no gma900 no update to 10.4.8. After the first boot the system halt. I boot again from dvd and selected the 10.4.8 pkg and then clik update. The system boot up. I installed from the dvd the 10.4.4.loginwindow.pkg and GMA900 support and set the correct permission. After reboot GMA900 is up with CI/QE enabled with 300+ frames/sec i xbench, more better than 10.4.5! Then I installed from the 10.4.7 DVD the 10.4.7.Intel.SSE3.pkg. Set the correct permissions then reboot... My on-board and PCI network cards worked fine, command+k dialog works fine. The audio kext are loaded. BUT the sound is SOOOOO BAD! When i press the volume keys on the keyboarda (btw, i have apple pro keyboard and mighty mouse) the sound made is bad. If i try to play an mp3 from Finder... NO sound. In itunes... saund is bad (have volume but has bad noise). I try'd almost everything.... HELP!!! P.S.: now the sleep don;t work anymore! shutdown don't work (is like I have a ATpower source)...
