Jeb911
HP TC4200 Tablet PC My Machine is running os x 10.4.7 - Issue: System will only boot when I connect a monitor to the external display of the notebook. If I have a monitor connected, the machine works perfect. Otherwise, If I do not have a monitor connected to the external display, the machine gets to the blue screen and lock up. Nothing will work - Ctrl - Alt - Del | The Caps lock button doesnt work - the machine completely locks up. Anyone have any suggestions on how to edit the display preferences? I have tried detected displays without the external monitor connected and then restarted, but this doesnt work... Rammjet
There is no software solution. You must have something attached to the VGA port during boot - a monitor, a VGA dongle, the 2-wire trick or the 1-wire trick.
Jeb911
OK... So everyone is having this same issue? If so, how do I do the 2-wire or 1-wire trick? Also, what file or files contain the video information like the settings and the hardware? I want to edit the file and make some modifications to it... Thanks -- JEB Forget the questions about the 1 and 2 wire...
