tokia
Hello, I have a problem where I have been able to boot macOS (from version 10.11 to 10.14) with pretty much all BIOS versions up to a certain version with special settings, and all newer versions cause macOS to hang forever on "PCI configuration begin". I have tried to dissect the UEFI ROM but there are too many changes for me to figure out what changed. There are also some changes in the DSDT. Do you think I can fix this problem using only DSDT/SSDT patches, e.g. by removing new devices, etc? Any other ideas to help me finally update the BIOS? Thank you for any assistance you can provide! Motherboard: ASUS Rampage V Extreme (X99) Working BIOS: 3101 and earlier. Non-working BIOS: 3202 and later. Latest BIOS: 3801 (stable), 3902 (beta) Edited December 21, 2018 by tokia Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/336971-unable-to-boot-macos-with-newer-bios/ Share on other sites
