Which one is more compatable? If anyone has any experiences with these 2 boards and knows the differences between them, please let know. I'm in the process of building a new computer. I have a P5GD1-VM running 1280x1024x75hz, i think it detected the max hz cos im using an LCD display. pet1 Posted October 18, 2005 Author Share Posted October 18, 2005 This combo runs very well. I am quite happy with it. Are you able to use the pci ide port? Currently using pri ide. The hcl says discrete ide delete appleintel830.kext. It's not in my extensions folder and it's not enabled. If I try booting off of it, I get as far as the grey apple splash screen and eventually an icon appears over the apple and just stays stuck.
