simulacra
Greetings, I have been beating my head against the wall all day trying to relieve this issue. Currently, the OSx86 installation is stuck in 1024x768 mode with no Core Image and/or quartz Extreme support. I have followed every possible tutorial and instruction found on editing .kext files, adding/updating the /System/Library/Extensions folder, and editing the AppleIntelFrameBuffer and AppleIntelIntegratedGraphics files. None have helped so far. Can anyone suggest how to correct my issue? My chipset is a 855GME w/ Intel Extreme Graphics. I have checked the Apple/About this MAC/More Info/Graphics/Display to find: Type: VGA-Compatible Controller Bus: Built-in VRAM (Total): 128MB Vendor: Intel (0x8086) Device ID: 0x3582 Revision ID: 0x0002 Kernel Extension Info: No Kext Loaded Displays: Display: Resolution: 1024x768 Depth 32-bit Color Core Image: Not supported Main Display: Yes Mirror: Off Online: Yes Quartz Extreme: Not Supported Thank you very much in advance for any help you may have to offer. psionic68
I don't think anyone has got 855 to work with QE/CI. Search the forums there are many threads on this topic from the past. Try http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?s=&...st&p=137957 or http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=3728 Good luck
