Which OS X/macOS version do you run? Try and switch to a different wireless channel with your local wireless AP/router.

There appears to be at least 3 x different versions of TP-Link TL-WN781ND:

v1 -> AR9285 (supported with DSDT or Atheros40 patch)

v2 -> AR9485 (poorly supported)

v3 -> ?

I am using high Sierra 10.13 using the TP-Link TL-WN781ND v2, How I switch to a different wireless channel?
