johnrolo
I'm attempting my first Hackintosh, and I seem to have run into a roadblock early in the process. I've been following KGP's guide (https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...c-pro-successful-build-extended-guide.229353/), and am stuck trying to boot into the HighSierra Installer from Clover on my USB. Booting in verbose mode, this (https://imgur.com/a/rbaqFay) is the error I'm given. I've tried several different versions of the AptioMemoryFix.efi (as well as OsxAptioFix(1-3)Div-64), with no luck. After some research, it seems like the issue could be an issue with my RAM's fragmentation, as outlined here: (https://github.com/wmchris/DellXPS15-9550-OSX/blob/10.13/Additional/slide_calc.md). Here is a screenshot of my Memmap: (https://imgur.com/a/cGu6yH2). Following those instructions, the first block large enough would be the one starting at 11F8D000. Based on his formula, that would give me a slide value of 143 ( (11F8D000-100000)/200000= 0x8f = 143 ). Trying that slide value, I still get a similar error. The next largest available block of RAM would be starting at 100000000, which, when run through the same formula, produces a slide value of 2047. I've read that this slide value is too large for clover, and I receive the same error message when I tried it. I'm a complete beginner at all of this, so please let me know if my math or reasoning is completely off! I'm not really sure what to try from here, so any help/guidance would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much in advance for the help!System Specs:-Asus Prime x299 Delux-Intel Core i9-7940X 14 Core-128gb (8x16gb) G.Skill Rip-jaw V @3200mhz-Nvidia Geforce GTX 1080ti Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/335560-high-sierra-installation-error-couldnt-allocate-runtime-area/ Share on other sites
