mac-fish
Hey everyone, I am running 10.13.5 which i recently updated to no my XPS 9360, which i also recently patched to the current BIOS version. The system was running just fine before with almost everything working perfectly (safe for some CPU frequency vectors missing and no native GPU PM, no NVMe PM). However as of recently, i'm noticing some strange behaviour. When i boot to OS X, either with AC connected or on battery, the system will go to sleep immediately after finishing boot and starting all services. pmset -g log reveals these logs immediately after boot: 2018-06-30 13:25:51 +0200 Sleep Entering Sleep state due to 'Clamshell Sleep':TCPKeepAlive=inactive Using AC (Charge:100%) 11 secs Now, the odd thing here is that this has been working fine previously, and there is no problem with the lid either, after waking the system back up after this initial sleep event, the lid works almost perfectly. i can put the system to sleep by closing the lid (hence not stuck in closed state) and wake it back up (not by opening the lid though, have to use power button (this has previously been working as well)). has anyone experienced this behaviour before? i couldn't find any similar cases... UPDATE: Fixed by updating to latest BIOS, extracting DSDT, decompiling, fixing syntax errors and putting new version in patched/ of CLOVER (no patches applied) Some diagnostic info: kextstat|grep -y acpiplat kextstat|grep -y appleintelcpu kextstat|grep -y applelpc kextstat|grep -y applehda 14 2 0xffffff7f82367000 0x9c000 0x9c000 com.apple.driver.AppleACPIPlatform (6.1) 577DDA65-E8D0-3357-8FBB-20E69AB66086 <13 12 11 7 6 5 4 3 1> 124 1 0xffffff7f821f1000 0x1d000 0x1d000 com.apple.driver.AppleHDAController (281.52) 0CEE0F18-1D22-3D90-9FD5-ECCD63F81428 <123 122 50 12 7 6 5 4 3 1> 143 0 0xffffff7f82bf8000 0xb7000 0xb7000 com.apple.driver.AppleHDA (9276.26) 119A5EAE-5FD8-3CF3-A0CA-73EDDDC23DBE <142 124 123 122 51 50 6 5 4 3 1> pmset -g System-wide power settings: Currently in use: standbydelay 10800 standby 1 womp 0 halfdim 1 hibernatefile /var/vm/sleepimage powernap 0 gpuswitch 2 networkoversleep 0 disksleep 0 sleep 90 autopoweroffdelay 28800 hibernatemode 0 autopoweroff 0 ttyskeepawake 1 displaysleep 90 tcpkeepalive 1 lidwake 1 Edited July 5, 2018 by mac-fish Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/334744-strange-lid-standby-issue-on-previously-working-setup/ Share on other sites
