That used to happen to me, also. I opened system preferences/energy saver and then set the sleep timer to "never". I haven't had the problem since. Its not the most elegant solution if you're on a laptop, but it sure fixed my desktop machine.

Your display is probably go sleep and it is not waking back up. This is a problem everyone has. There is no solution for it yet. You need to disable sleep for both computer/laptop and display.

 

Yeah it sucks because your lcd backlight will burn out quick. :thumbsdown_anim:
