wstrohm
System CPU: Intel Core i7 8700 (3.2 GHz 6-core "Coffee Lake") Motherboard: Gigabyte Z370N WIFI (Have been told this is "Kaby Lake," not "Coffee Lake" as I thought) RAM: Kingston 16 GB DDR4 (2666 MHz) Storage: Crucial M500 500 GB SSD (two in system) Graphics: nVidia GeForce 1050 TI OC (low profile) Case: Thermaltake SD 101 (Mini-ITX) Software Mac OS 10.13.4 nVidia Web Driver 387.10.10.10.30.107 EFI/Clover v 4509 (setup per tonymacx86.com) BIOS Firmware for Z370N-WIFI: version F4 (UEFI booting) Problem "No output device found" Troubleshooting Steps Tried toleda's procedures for the Z370N-WIFI, first installing Clover ALC via #####, then tried installing Apple native HDA.kext, updating config.plist with various kext patches from various sources. NADA. Tried adding a toleda SSDT in EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/Patches. NADA. Had attached two full "Problem Report" sets of zipped files, but responses only refer me to procedures already tried and failed. Notes Please note that otherwise, the system works great. I get Geekbench 4.2.2 scores of 6102 single-core and 26418 multi-core. Also the graphics benchmark "Heaven" returns 51+ fps in "Ultra," full screen 1920 x 1080, 2xAA. But there is also a USB issue. Although all the ports work, I cannot make a "RehabMan" USB SSDT per his procedure, because IORegistryExplorer only displays "XHC@14" data, whereas all the "SSxx" ports location IDs imply there is a "XHC@15" somewhere, not shown in IORegistryExplorer. My system is presently running with the 15-port limit removed, which is not a good thing. Questions Does anyone here have experience getting audio working with this particular setup, i.e. Coffee Lake CPU paired with Kaby Lake motherboard? (I have built 4th generation and 6th generation Intel-based Hackintoshes and never had this problem.) Do you want me to upload anything here? Thanks for reading!
