Hallo everybody.

After the install process of "hackintosh" osx the operating system didnt boot properly.

there appeared this "not-parking-sign" in grey and the os stopped loading.

after starting with the parameter -v i copied all the text from the screen to a paper and now here into this forum.

hopefully you can fix this, because i didnt have that problem with the first release of the 10.4.8 dvd!!

i have to add that i just chose the "simple install" without selecting (additional) packages under the advanced install button .... because i am still a newbie to "hackintosh".

so, here is the copied text, hopefully it helps you to fix this for the next time, at least until leopard:

;-)

here it is:

This is the whole message that appeared on the screen after the hold-on.

Every two minutes the line "Still waiting for root device" was added, but nothing was working.

The boot process was frozen.

Hopefully those messages can help you to improve the next releases of "hackintosh osx"

thanks for your great work and go on like before.

i will be thankful for any hints to make osx 10.4.8 work on my benq r55 laptop.

after starting with the parameter -v i copied all the text from the screen to a paper and now here into this forum.

hopefully you can fix this, because i didnt have that problem with the first release of the 10.4.8 dvd!!

did you really do that?

hey guys, yes i did ;-)

because i am a newbie and i did not know what to choose there in the advanced install options!

which kernel is the better one?

semthex or mifki?

what do i have to choose for my specs??

(intel core duo, 2x1.83ghz T2400, 1gb ram, nvidia geforce go 7400, built in ethernet lan "marvell yukon 88E8055)

need some hints for the installation.
