Hi there,

I have installed my hackintosh on pc with the following config.
ASUS z270m, AMD HD 7870, i7-7700k.
Following the guides posted on the links below, I managed to get my system up and running. However, huge problem occurs when I try to playback big videos.

https://hackintosher.com/guides/hackintosh-amd-graphics-cards-sierra-10-12-6/
https://hackintosher.com/guides/fix-rendering-issues-fcpx-high-sierra/
I have followed these guides to try and find a solution but nil help.

Please advise if there is anything else I can try? attached please find the config.plist of my efi.

Thanks heaps!

config.plist

Any ideas guys....? Everything works great... just this to fix....

i am pretty stuck. I can playback small mp4 files but anything bigger than say 1GB is a struggle.

but it suddenly occurs to me that there may be a problem with my COSAIR Vengence memory because the activity monitor really doesn’t show that I am using much of my 32GB. They are recognised in system status though.

One thing of notice is, if the file I am playing back is smaller. It is ok...
Audio is somehow disabled with your config.plist.

i inject all into DSDT, if work, done, ioreg looks good

quick sync is ok too

Sorry... I am too noob to understand what I have to do here to fix it. Could you elaborate further?
Could anyone please spare a minute and help.... zzz
I tried to change to different system config. None of the Mac Pro seems to work.

Yes I appreciate what he is doing. But I don’t understand his last instruction. Lol

Edit: i did a bit research regarding DSDT inject. Found videos like this for older OSX.

Is this what should I try to apply? Could you elaborate further on this regard please? Cheers!

I tried to use 1,4,12,16,60. None of the numbers seem to make a big difference.

Interestingly though would it be a problem of RAM? Because when I play back, the memory hasn’t been cached in the activity monitor.

Edit: For what it is worth, I managed to get a rx580 sapphire nitro+ to test it out to see if it is the problem of my dGPU. Same result. It stops at roughly around about 12 seconds into the 1.6GB mp4.
