Hi

I have a peculiar issue with an Asus X299 Prime Deluxe with a Thunderbolt card.

The bios lets you install the card in any of the PCIx16 slots (1,2,3 or 4).

I have an Apple Thunderbolt display attached. When the TB card is loaded in PCIX16_3, everything works well, all screen peripherals are working as they should (FW800, ethernet port and 3 USB ports)

In the System Information -> PCI tab all shows:

those are PCI 12d8,400e and PCI 12d8,4007

The devices show as located in slot "PCI Slot 4@4x"

When connected to either PCI16X_2 or PCI16X_4, then the devices do show just the same,  however, the USB devices are not functional (that is the USB ports, the webcam and the audio speakers (which normally appear like USB ones) the other devices (FW800, ethernet) work just fine. For the USB stuff, in the panel under it shows "Driver Installed: No"

When in either of those slots, then the slot entry shows "Airport@11x."

Any ideas on why the drivers aren't being loaded here?

In windows, it doesn't matter which PCI slot in use, everything works equally as well.

Suggestion and help are welcome !
