Hello,

I have Dell Vostro 220s system with following configuration

System:         Dell Vostro 220s
Mainboard:    P301D
CPU:             E8500
Video:           GeForce 8500 GT
NIC:              RTL8111
Sound:          ALC662
macOS:        High Sierra (10.13.3)
Bootloader:   Clover v2.4 r4411, r4392
Works:          boots, Video, NIC, sleep/wake
Need fix:       Sound

The installation of High Sierra 10.13.3 went smooth and everything work except sound chip ALC662.

So far an attempts to fix sound problem was not resolved in best way, only VoodooHDA.kext allows to produce sound.

AppleHDA patcher v1.8      -- patch for DSDT.aml, patch for config.plist and aDummy.kext did not work
AppleALC.kext + Lilu.kext  -- produces an assert for any layout-id except 12 which does not work (boot stops with assertion)

I am not sure what else could be tried to make ALC662 on this mainboard to work properly, there is some 'black magic' why this chip refuses to work in this configuration. Note: MaciASL extracts and compiles DSDT without any error.

NOTE #1:
AppleALC.kext + Lilu.kext allows ALC662 codec chip on P5GC-MX_1333  mainboard to work very well -- sleep/wake up works perfectly.
At the same time AppleHDA patcher v1.8 does not resolve the issue with P5GC-MX_1333 board -- some post on internet states that Clover bootloader does not patch codec properly (I have some doubts in this statement).

NOTE #2:

VoodooHDA.kext resolves the issue with ALC662 but brakes sleep/wake feature -- undesirable solution.

Please let me know your ideas how the problem can be resolved (Windows/Linux can use ALC662 without any problem).
