real_sinjon Posted November 15, 2006 Share Posted November 15, 2006 Hope someone can suggest what I might try with this frustrating problem. I have tried installing the 10.4.6 Myz & jAs DVDs and get the same problem. All goes well until I get to the initial first time log in. I get some garbled sound coming from my speakers and the country selection screen hangs with the spinning rainbow ball. Sometimes it goes to the next screen for choosing whether to transfer from an old Mac or not but then the screen goes blue and the cursor freezes. Didn't think I'd see BSOD on a mac, but then it's not a mac is it? I bought the mobo and processor based on good feedback from other forum members so any suggestions on what I could try would be really welcome.
