trying to power QE/CI on Radeon x1650Pro (gigabyte silent pipe II)

OK here we go..:

I've got a fresh Jas 10.4.6 dvd install on my system, wich is:

ga945p-s3 motherboard (conroe compatible)

e6300 core 2 duo baby

wd new sata2 main drive

and the rest of the stuff that is not really important for this case (correct me if I'm wrong)

and the king of the video hill is Gigabyte Radeon x1650 pro with the very pleasant silent pipe II tech thing

After neopheus 3.2 patch I've got all the screen full of artifacts that halts

After very carefull manul patching that is described here I've got mostly the same sad picture

After neopheus 3.6 patch I've got my native 1680x1050 res working (!) but no QE/CI :angel:

In SP it looks like this:

Display:

Type: VGA-Compatible Controller

Bus: PCI

VRAM (Total): 256 MB

Vendor: ATI (0x1002)

Device ID: 0x71c6

Revision ID: 0x0000

Displays:

VX2025wm:

Resolution: 1680 x 1050 @ 60 Hz

Depth: 32-bit Color

Core Image: Not Supported

Main Display: Yes

Mirror: Off

Online: Yes

Quartz Extreme: Not Supported

So I decided to manually change all kexts to 71c6 as it should be. After that my 10.4.6 restarted sucsefully (that's already good :)), BUT NO CHANGES have occured that is wired.

Now I wonder (and asking you my friends) what to do next?

I've read in wiki HCL list that with Jas 10.4.7 my card should work by default, but right now I don't have the traffic to test it, it will happen in a week.

So what can I do right now? Any suggestions?

p.s. My ATINDRV looks like this after 3.6 patching:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

<!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple Computer//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd">

<plist version="1.0">

<dict>

<key>CFBundleDevelopmentRegion</key>

<string>English</string>

<key>CFBundleGetInfoString</key>

<string>1.4.40.4 ()</string>

<key>CFBundleIdentifier</key>

<string>com.apple.kext.ATINDRV</string>

<key>CFBundleInfoDictionaryVersion</key>

<string>6.0</string>

<key>CFBundleName</key>

<string>ATINDRV</string>

<key>CFBundlePackageType</key>

<string>KEXT</string>

<key>CFBundleShortVersionString</key>

<string>1.4.40</string>

<key>CFBundleSignature</key>

<string>????</string>

<key>CFBundleVersion</key>

<string>4.4.0</string>

</dict>

</plist>

if it will help somebody to solve that video driver puzzle
