nowned
Just wondering if the SABRENT SBT-SP6C is supported because its cheap($7.50) and it's all i need for a soundcard. It uses the "CMI8738" audio chipset, which is supposed to work, but i want to see if anyone has any experience using this card. It will probably be used with 10.4.6 or 10.4.8 . Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! You can get the drivers that should work for this card over on Dogbert's Driver Page but i haven't tried it yet, won't be able to get/install the card for a month or so! REVENGE
Bleh. Dogbert wrote a driver for it way back in 05. Check the X Labs for a new release man. In fact, since the card is so damn cheap, I'm considering getting one for myself too. {censored}. The info you need for using this driver with newer OS X versions is spread out all over the place. Do a search for CMI8738 . You may need to download source and recompile for itself, but thankfully dogbert's old source still works.
