Hello,

In the wake of meltdown/spectre, I realize I've let upgrading my hackintosh slide for far too many years... I was a devoted myHack user from 10.6-10.9, which is where I've been sitting for years now.  There are no longer security updates, Safari updates or even iTunes updates for my OS. My phone won't sync with it, and my developer tools are horribly out of date, 1password is left on version 4... argh!

The frustrations of running this OS are starting to get to me. It's a stable machine, doesn't crash, runs (what works) everything great. It's my main desktop and I store EVERYTHING on this HDD. I realize backups are in order here (and I need to get on that soon)...

I'm running the latest 10.9.5 with the latest svn pull of chameleon's main truck. I know no one uses chameleon any longer, but for fear of breaking my machine, I don't want to use any tonymac anything, but is there a simple way to upgrade this hackintosh to 10.11? Is there a tool I've overlooked out there that makes it simple?

Thank you to anyone who can offer me a bit of advice or a path to solitude....

What makes you say "no one uses Chameleon any longer"? I, for one, do! All my Sierra and High Sierra build run on Enoch.

It is my understanding that Enoch is a branch of chameleon, is it part of trunk now?

And as for making installation media, is there a preferred method to this these days?
