johnverz
Hardware Info: HP ENVY Sleekbook 4-1009tu 1.4GHz i3-2367M (check here) MacOS version: Sierra (10.12.3) Please help me make Intel HD 3000 work with this machine. I tried to patch DSDT using MaciASL but to no avail. I am having screen glitch, poor graphics performance, no glass interface and only 4MB graphics memory. I cannot change screen brightness too. I attached my config.plist and my DSDT.aml file. Please help. Thank you config.txt dsdt.txt

johnverz
Thank you. I’m trying them out now. Is it safe to delete AppleIntelSNBGraphics.kext? It seems that it’s preventing my machine to boot up and stuck at IOConsoleUsers:gIOScreenLockState 3, hs 0, bs 0, now 0, sm 0x0.
johnverz
It was able to boot up after deleting it, it is reporting AppleIntelSNBGraphics.kext failed to load. Btw, I tried your config and dsdt, graphics performance still the same. Here is my EFI/CLOVER shot. Thanks for the help...
Tetonne
HD3000 is supported OOB as long as you inject the correct layout-id (usually 00010000 with MBP8,1 SMBIOS). 0x00030010 as you told us before ;-) #2

johnverz
I’ll update first to 10.12.6 then before fixing graphics. What to setup first before updating? Do I always need the FakeSMC in the clover?
johnverz
I am using Niresh Distro. Is it safe to upgrade to 10.12.6 using the combo update? What kexts should be retained to 10.12.6? Thank you!
johnverz
This is why you have issue Please don't used this Sh,,,tt used Apple vanilla install As per suggestion, I’m downloading the MacOS sierra installer and will vanilla install. And then I will try those settings you shared above. Will QE/CI fully work with those?
