Hello everybody

I have tried to install 10.4.8 jas dvd and the procedure stops at the setup of the account (after it reboots)

there is no mouse, although it is connected and lit, and there is no keyboard too.

I installed 10.4.7 without problems, it was a bit slow, but it was ok. (no network and sound)

With this 10.4.8 version i guess that the problem has to do with the way the harddisks are defined in the bios For instance if you set the option to IDE it is possible that the system will not detect the disks at all

BUT if you set the option to AHCI then all disks are detected properly, and the installation begins...but never ends :D

I use 4 WD harddrives 250GB each (SATA2) and always get problems, about "root device" etc

I connected another 160GB WD sata (no sata 2) installed semthex, usb fix,all patches, and The ICH8 scripts, the installation begun and completed succesfully!!!

If i point to "About this Mac" nothing happens, the memory modules are detected as SDRAm instead of DDR2

but the frequency is ok 533 mhz

although both network adapters have been detected none of them works, and there are no PATA devices installed although both nec 3551 dvd/rw and Teac 516G are connected

(I do the installation with an external Nec3540 DVD/rw .

My configuration is as follows

Intel Core2Duo 6600@2.4Ghz (no overclocking) the speed shows in 10.4.8 @3,8 Ghz

Asus P5B Deluxe Wi-fi/Ap

2*1024 MB /DDR2 Buffalo

4*250GB WD SAta 2 (no Raid installed)

1*160 Gb Sata 1

sound blaster X-fi Fatal1ty

Pixelview Prolink 7800GTX

Actually I dont know what the problem is...

I have seen many posts refering to incompatibility issues with Intel's P965 and 10.4.8 version.

Any help would be much appreciated

Thanks in advance
