Skype is working great here for both video and audio conferencing - for me this was a must have app to consider using osx86 for my fulltime machine. Fullscreen video is faster than it was on XP !

Here is my config

10.4.8 with Semthex new hybrid kernel "Nebukadnezar"

Audio in and video are working via Panasonic NV-GS15 camcorder over USB

Audio out using Realtek HDA

Hi,

I use the same skype version with a Canon Dv900. The strange thing is that i couldn't get sound in via my Canon camcorder. I have to use an M-audio Transit (in which I put in a mic).

And the strangiest thing is that ichat is able to get both video and audio from my Canon DV cam.

Any suggestions?

Thanks for the interesting thread.

it's not so strange. it happens to me2 with my mustek 300A webcam

we need to wait for a macam driver that enables mic+cam to work together... unfortunately seems that when the cam is already used.. it's mic won't work cos it's used.. and viceversa

I understand what you're talking about but remeber that a DV cam is a little bit different compared to a webcam. I don't use nor a macam driver neither other generic webcam drivers. My camcorder is recgnized by the system and, as far as I know, in your configuration your problem is that macam still doesn't support audio....

Anyway thanks for your reply, if you discover more, please, let me know...

See you n the italian forum... ;-)
