moisiss
Hey all, I've installed OSX 10.12 and VMware tools on an ESXi 6.0 server a few times now and every time during the second or third restart, the VM just stops booting. Instead, I am greeted with the black screen with a circle and slash through it (see attached pic). Looking up what this screen means, it is saying that the system (VM in this case) can't find a System Folder to start up from. Anyone know what is up with this? How to fix it? Thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/330176-osx-1012-on-esxi-wont-boot/ Share on other sites
moisiss
I'm not sure if I fixed this... but so far so good. I was able to boot into recovery mode by holding Windows Key + R as soon as I powered the VM on. I reinstalled the OS, turned off SIP, and have been able to reboot a few times without this error occurring. Not sure what fixed it (or if it is really fixed), but so far so good.
