ttyseven
I am currently runing Semthex "gvm" close to final beta from IRC and I am really impressed. Together with Titan it works like a charm and I really look forward to a final DVD release AMD and INTEL hybrid maybe? Many problems I encountered in the past just vanished. The system is run many hours now, works very well and smooth. Maybe this is helpful: I needed to install the DVD through VMWare as usal but this worked very well after replacing the old Kernel with the I got from IRC using transmac (http://www.asy.com/) The trial is full working and fits the need to do so. I am really impressed, this is the happiest day sicne a logn time with my hackint0sh! I love the great support. Thanks! :pirate2: Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/32991-nebukadnezar-version-gvm/ Share on other sites
semthex
For anyone who is intrested about the meaning of "beta" and stuff. This version is close to final and won't change that much anymore except the SSE2 support. If you are on a SSE3 box of any Kind, this should be very fine for you :pirate2: Many more informationa re given in the sticky post on top. Btw, the name means: g (build code) - vm (vmware autodetection series) and is latest availbale masterpiece Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/32991-nebukadnezar-version-gvm/#findComment-232553 Share on other sites
warped1
I have some sound quirks but I think they are non-related to the kernel. The sound randomly stops working but if I keep making it play a sound it will kick in and stay a bit. Weird. AC97 on nforce 4. Im just posting this in case someone else has this problem then it may not be my hardware. ttyseven
Is Opengl support needed for DVD playback? Any idea how to fix AC97 kext to work on both speaker channels? warped1
Semthex: I attached them. To reproduce this I basically open a terminal window and press back space to get the alert. I do this over and over and add in a few enter keys until the sound stops playing. Then in iTunes I press play and no sound. Pause the tune and return to terminal. Repeat backspaces until I hear a sound back again and it works in itunes once again. I can NOT repro it if I leave itunes playing throughout. dmesg.rtf ioreg.rtf kextstat.rtf sysctl.rtf Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/32991-nebukadnezar-version-gvm/#findComment-232727 Share on other sites
