Good Components

Hey Everyone,

I'm planning on purchasing or building a computer in the near future and I would like some suggestions on parts.

 

Plan #1:

Buy a HP Laptop that is on sale on Black Friday, and upgrade some components. It has a core solo t1350 processor 1.86ghz. Along with 512 ram. 940GML chipset. It also has a GMA 950 video card.

Plan #2:

Pick up parts, case, etc and build a desktop. Everything is up in the air on this option, but I would probably go with a core duo processor, along with a mac compatible chipset, video card etc.

 

I would prefer doing plan 1, but I'm not sure how well those components are supported, I've searched the HCL on the wiki but they seem to sparse on information on 10.4.8
