calreid
Hello all, Im finally upgrading my main editing machine to Sierra and after the migration assistant stage, I get a KP on restart. Its been a while since I've had to build a new distro, so other than tinkering with it, Im a little rusty. My previous setup was Yosemite on Chameleon, however I did use Clover to run Yosemite on my first Gen Surface Pro (which worked surprisingly well!) Ive attached a very rudimentary screen grab at the time of the KP.Both the install and migration assistant phases worked worked well, this is the first boot after. It would appear to be an issue with the CPU, but i couldnt find any results for that error code.System specs are:z77x-ud3h REV1i7 3770k (running at 4.5 GHZ, this is not an issue in Yosemite, so I dont suspect its the issue here)24GB of 1600mhz vengeance RAMGTX 770480GB Seagate SSDI've tried different boot flags in Clover, but all end in a KP.This has been created using SIERRA 12.5.3 (I could not get my hands on an earlier release).I'd be interested to know of any suggestions you may have regarding fixes and pleased of the help Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/328933-kernel-panic-at-first-boot-z77x-ud3h-i7-3770k/ Share on other sites
