Hi, I followed this guide to get my ethernet to work:
http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/304337-bcm57xx-network-with-native-apple-drivers-oob-no-patching/

But after installing the 2 kexts and rebooting, it keeps saying cable is unplugged even though it is plugged in (I tried many cables)

Here are some pics.

Remove all the kext you have tried and install this one with kext wizzard

repare permision and rebuild cache
reboot
Let me know

Hi, I removed the FakePCIID kext and the other BCM related one, and installed your kext.

Upon reboot, I am still facing the same problem.

I have tried many cables and routers, so I don't believe it is a connection problem.

Check if your  Device id is the kext/Info.plist

EDIT**

Your device is not there!

put your device

<string>pci14e4,1691</string>

reinstall the kext with the correct permission  :)
