djeans
I recently upgraded to Sierra and did a clean install. Mobo: Gigabye X79-UP4 Proc: i7-3930K Mem: 8x4GB 1866Mhz Video: NVIDIA GTX 780 SSD: I recently upgraded to Sierra so that I could update my Logic Pro X to the latest version. Prior to this I was using Yosemite with no issues. No when playing a project the audio will stop at random places. The play head continues to advance but no audio comes out of the speakers. Sometimes, the drummer regions will start playing again, but not always, and not for very long. Stopping and starting again will get me audio, but usually out of sync, at least for a few bars. Sometimes it re-syncs, but the audio will stop again shortly after. This behavior happens on any project (so far), but I have been able to successfully bounce a project with no gaps in audio. I have tried creating a new project with no plugins, no midi, just one track enabled, and the problem is still there. I'm getting no error messages of any kind. The CPU/HD meters are not showing hardly any load.My audio buffer size is set to 128This is driving me crazy, so if anyone has any idea what's going on, please let me know. Thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/328688-logic-pro-x-weird-behavior/ Share on other sites
djeans
Sorry to bump an old thread, but since I never got a reply to this question I figured I would ask again. After searching the inter webs, I can't find any threads where someone is experiencing the same problem, so this must be unique to my system. In addition to the problems I have listed above, it will also stop recording at random places. For instance If I enable a track and start recording, sometimes I can record 30 seconds before it just stops, sometimes I can only record 2 seconds before it stops, but it always stops recording, and the track continues playing without recording. I have discovered the problem persists in Garageband as well as logic, but is not present in other DAWs (at least not Reaper, which is the only other one I have tried). It must be something with how apple processes audio for those two applications I guess. I have deleted and re-installed both apps, disabled ALL audio plugins, and tried just about everything else I can think of. Trying one more time to see if anyone here has any ideas or suggestions.
