TheWill
Ok... to make a long story short, I installed 10.4.6 three months ago on my HP Pavilion laptop zd7380us and it has been dual-booting between OS X and XP wonderfully. Well, the GPU (nVidia GoFX5700) on my laptop burnt out and I sent it into HP for repairs. I removed my hard drive prior to sending it in. Well, I got the laptop back with a note telling me that they did not replace the GPU with the same model, but rather with an ATI x600, and also they replaced the system board. I booted into Windows fine, and after 30 minutes of updating all the drivers with the CD they sent me, everything works like it used to. I then tried to boot into OS X and it got to the grey screen with the Apple logo and it haults. I have searched the internet and spent the last 5 hours trying everything I can think of. When I use the -v command to see what is happening, they system tries to load 3 drivers that fail and then it stops. Here is what it stops on: something blah blah .... can't load these: /System/Library/Extensions/AppleMLANAudio.kext /System/Library/Extensions/AppleAirPort2.kext /System/Library/Extensions/AudiolPCDriver.kext (66: System Starter)tfp: failed on 0: AirPort Link Active: 'linksys' chan 6 login window [71]: login window started security agent nothing to load Any help is so greatly appreciated!
