Richard Stanton
Hi, I had El Capitan installed on VMWare Player, using unlocker 2.0.8. I then updated to High Sierra from within the guest OS. That all went fine. However I then updated my VMWare player version, from 12.5.x (I don't remember exactly which version) to 12.5.7. After that, the OSX guest crashed on startup, so I re-ran unlocker. The guest then started fine, although VMWare tools weren't installed, so I installed them by using the VMWare menu option to load the disk image into the guest. It all works again, with 1 exception - I have a 4k monitor, and previously I could expand the OSX Guest up to full screen, and it went up to the max res of the monitor. Now, when I resize the guest, it won't go full screen. There seems to be a max number of pixels it will use. E.g. I can go to 1993 tall, but then it'll max out at 2018 wide. Or I can go to 3816 wide, but then it'll max out at 1098 tall. Any ideas what I've done to introduce this limitation? Is it some problem with the latest VMWare update? Richard Stanton
Hmm, so I downloaded a fresh version of High Sierra, this time from techsviewer. That copy full-screens just fine. So it's something to do with my original copy, but not VMWare itself. Any ideas?
